Today I was reading one of Kimby's friend's blogs, Polyblogamus. He had an article about a memorial to the people who had died aboard the prison ships in New York harbour during the American Revolution. I do lots of reading about this war since our family was involved on both sides, patriot and loyalist. We are directly descended from Loyalists and so know more of this side of the story.
There were so many atrocities committed by both sides in this conflict that it boggles my poor mind. The fellow who posted his article has given me some of the easiest to understand information about this one that I have read to date.
